Tag allows you to obtain details used for tag payments: Visa+ paynames, and aliases in the Visa Alias Directory such as an email address, a phone number or a Cash App $cashtag. Grab information before sending funds to participating wallets.

Tag

• Tag Inquiry: Returns whether a tag is registered, its type, and the directories that hold it.
• Query Tag: Returns whether the last 4 of a phone number match what is on record. May also return the owner's name.

Sending to a tag

1. Tag Inquiry returns the tag's type and its directories.
2. Optionally, Query Tag confirms the recipient with value, type, directory and phoneLast4.
3. Create Transaction sends the push with accounts.destinationAccount.tag.value, type and directory.

Venmo and PayPal paynames go through Visa+ and don't need a directory.
