Canadian Cross-Border Transactions

International Payments to or from Canada.

Mandate

Cross-border push transactions originating from or going to Canada must include the address of the recipient.

Therefore for all push transactions where the beneficiary country code or the acquiring country code is equal to 124 (Canada), the following holds true:

  • If the beneficiary country code (of the push transaction) is different from the acquirering country code, the beneficiary address is required.
  • If the beneficiary country code (of the push transaction) is the same as the acquiring country code, the beneficiary address is optional.
