Visa has announced upcoming changes to the data field requirements for Original Credit Transaction (OCT). TabaPay strongly encourages clients to review their data and confirm they are in compliance with the below requirements.

Updates

• As of April 2026, for OCTs that are less than $3,000, sender address data is no longer required.

• Currently on cross-border OCTs to Saudi Arabia, the Purpose of Payment field must be populated correctly or transactions may be declined. For additional guidance, refer to Purpose of Payment.

• Sender Date of Birth is required for cross-border money transfer OCTs; however, Visa has clarified it will not decline transactions missing this data at this time.

• ‡Beginning October 23, 2026, Visa rejects a transaction whose Sender Date of Birth is not a valid date in YYYYMMDD format, with a year from 1900 to 2099, a month from 01 to 12, and a day from 01 to 31. Check that corresponding.dateOfBirth meets this format. A transaction sent without a date of birth is not rejected for this reason. See Data Requirements.
