Clarifying OCT Data Requirements
Visa has announced upcoming changes to the data field requirements for Original Credit Transaction (OCT). TabaPay strongly encourages clients to review their data and confirm they are in compliance with the below requirements.
Updates
- As of April 2026, for OCTs that are less than $3,000, sender address data is no longer required.
- Currently on cross-border OCTs to Saudi Arabia, the Purpose of Payment field must be populated correctly or transactions may be declined. For additional guidance, refer to Purpose of Payment.
- Sender Date of Birth is required for cross-border money transfer OCTs however, Visa recently clarified it will not decline transactions missing data at this time.
