Update on Visa+ for TabaPay Clients
Please be advised of upcoming changes to the Visa+ Service. Visa+ is a Visa solution that enables both transfers between participating P2P payment apps and real-time payouts to participating apps.
Upcoming Changes
- Effective February 19, 2026, PayPal and Venmo will discontinue Peer-to-Peer (P2P) transfers between their platforms using Visa+ paynames. This change is specific to P2P transfers and does not affect your ability to originate payouts to these wallets.
- Please be aware that Visa will no longer issue new Visa+ paynames (tags) moving forward.
- Due to this strategic shift, TabaPay will discontinue onboarding new clients to the legacy Visa+ solution.
Mandated Requirements
Merchants must remove references to new paynames from their customer experience.
Clients currently using the Visa+ service will not see disruption to existing payout flows. You may continue to send funds to users holding existing Visa+ paynames (tags) with participating wallets without interruption. Existing Visa+ integrations will remain supported.
